1. As per the government order dated June 6, 2023, the scheme was initiated with clear guidelines issued on July 17, 2023.
2. Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of ₹2,000 per month started from July 19, 2023. By January 2024, over 1.25 crore beneficiaries were successfully enrolled, including:
   • 93.69 lakh beneficiaries from other categories.
   • 22.63 lakh beneficiaries from Scheduled Castes.
   • 8.83 lakh beneficiaries from Scheduled Tribes.
3. The government has allocated ₹28,608.40 crore for the financial year 2024-25 to ensure seamless disbursement of benefits under the scheme.

1. The applicant must be a woman listed as the head of the household on the family ration card (Antyodaya, BPL, or APL) issued by the Food and Civil Supplies Department.

   • If the head of the family or her husband is an income tax payer.

Step-by-Step Guide to Apply Online

Step 1: Open the Seva Sindhu Portal for guarantee schemes on your browser.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on “Gruhalakshmi Scheme Registration“.

Step 3: Choose your preferred language (Kannada or English) to proceed filling out the application.

Step 4: Provide the Aadhaar number of the female head of the household. Ensure that the Aadhaar is linked to your mobile number to receive OTP.

Step 5: Enter the ration card number (Antyodaya, BPL, or APL). Verify that the applicant is listed as the head of the family in the ration card.

Step 6: Provide the NPCI enabled bank account number, IFSC code, and branch details. Ensure that the account is active and belongs to the applicant.

Step 7: Review all the entered details. Submit the application and save or print the acknowledgment receipt for future reference.
